The Influence of Getting Up Early on Increasing the Children’s Discipline

The Ministry of Education and Culture recently launched a movement of seven habits of Great Indonesian children. This movement is oriented towards strengthening the main character of the nation, one of which is the discipline character. The discipline character is one of the positive characters that is very important in our daily life. People who have discipline character will be able to manage their time, priorities, and actions effectively. Discipline character can increase productivity, self-confidence, and quality of life.

Productivity will increase if people are able to manage their time and priorities effectively. People who are able to manage their time and priorities effectively will also be able to complete their tasks on time, thus increasing their productivity. Furthermore, how does discipline character increase self-confidence? People who have discipline character can control their emotions and impulses, thus they are able to make rational and correct decisions. People who are able to make rational and correct decisions indicate that they have been able to increase their self-confidence.

What about the quality of life that can be increased because people have discipline character? People who have discipline character will be able to manage everything effectively, including finances, health, and social relationships. Therefore, their quality of life will increase spontaneously. Then, how can we build discipline character among the children? Of course, there are many ways to build discipline character among the children, one of them can be found in the movement of seven habits of Great Indonesian children, which is placed as the first priority, namely getting up early.

Getting up early is a habit of starting daily activities by getting up in the morning. Getting up requires discipline and commitment, so children can learn how to manage their time and priorities. Getting up early can help children learn how to manage themselves and be responsible for their activities. Getting up early also helps children become more aware of their surroundings and the activities of others around them.

With the priority of getting up early, the other six habits will also be awakened because all activities start from getting up early. Unfortunately, not everyone has the habit of getting up early, even though getting up early has extraordinary advantages and benefits for our lives. If we hear or read the success stories of great people, getting up early becomes a priority for them that they always prioritize. Through getting up early, they will have more time to learn and prepare themselves to face various challenges that may arise throughout the day. Getting up early will lead us to the success of life with a stable .

Therefore, it can be concluded that gettng up early has a strong and important influence on increasing children’s discipline. Through getting up early, children will be educated to be disciplined in time and priorities. The activities carried out will also feel lighter and free from tension or stress because the time available is sufficient or even more to complete a job demand. Let us as parents or teachers not be bored with always reminding and motivating children to always wake up early. Hopefully, the children we educate will be able to make themselves golden generations that will be able to build this nation into a great and dignified nation.
